About Me

Hi! I’m Maddie.

And before you ask, yes, it’s just Maddie. I’ve been working as a social media manager and video editor in Toronto for 3+ years now. I have a passion for visual story-telling and social media marketing, and above all combining the two. 

​

I moved to the city to pursue my first love of filmmaking, after 4 years I received a BFA in Film Studies with a minor in English Literature from Toronto Metropolitan University.

 

After finishing school I worked at Rose City Goods, a locally owned and ethically sourced home decor gift shop, where one of my many roles was shooting and editing content for socials, featuring locally made ceramics, textiles, and art. My time spent here made me fall in love with Toronto, and the small businesses that make this city so vibrant.

 

In 2024 I was hired as Social Media Content Manager at Chosen, a vintage clothing boutique beloved within it's community on Dundas West. Collaborating the owner, Melissa Ball, we developed a social media strategy that would best fit her goal of building Chosen's following and maintain consistency in branding.

I'm currently enrolled in the Content Strategy program at Humber College.
